As we wrap the week of Thanksgiving, I want to share our thanks for our parents and community. Groups such as the PTO, SBL Foundation and the athletic & music boosters help Strengthen, Build & Lead SBL schools. Thank you to our entire community for supporting the Warriors!

Today I am thankful for our leadership teams. I am so thankful for our principals. Every day they help students and staff be the best version of themselves. I am also thankful for our school board. They volunteer their time to help shape SBL schools to be the best we can be!

It's Thanksgiving and there is so much to be thankful for, like our students! These students perform in the classroom and in competition. They are capable of amazing things. Every day we get to work with the most amazing young people and help them become what they want to be!

It's Wednesday. Today I am thankful for our non-certified staff. These are bus drivers, custodians, secretaries , and kitchen staff. These are people that often do things that go unnoticed. They keep students safe and greet them with smiles. Thanks for all you do!

Today is day two of the week of Thanksgiving. Today I am thankful for our outstanding associates! Our associates answer the call to do just about everything in and outside the classroom. They show compassion for our students every day! Thank you!

This week of Thanksgiving, I'm reminded of all the things I am thankful for as part of SBL schools. Today I am thankful for our amazing teaching staff! Research says teachers have the biggest impact on student achievement and we have the best!

Good evening,
It has come to my attention that there is a false message circulating social media regarding our middle school. The message cites concern regarding the safety of our children.
This afternoon, a drawn picture was found under a desk that concerned a student. They did the right thing and gave it to a teacher. It was then given to me. Upon looking at the drawing with law enforcement, it was determined to be of no concern. It appears to be a drawing of a video game or a fantasy scene complete with a fortress, moat/ river, food, and bad guys. No weapons appear in the scene. The school is not represented in the scene and there is no written threat, note, or words of concern. It has been determined that there is no danger to students.
In matters such as these, it is always best to contact a school administrator. An email could be sent after hours.
Stronger together,
Dr. Jill Brown and Chad Janzen
