There is a community meeting tomorrow, Sept. 10, at 6pm in the high school lecture hall for anyone that would help spread the message about the Nov. 4 vote for the bond issue.

Middle school staff was learning about some changes in the middle school this year, including changes to the schedule.

Every other year, as part of their ecosystem unit and other related topics, Mr. Vickery and Mr. Hensely do a controlled burn of the prairie by the middle school. The Sergeant Bluff Fired Department assists with the burn. Neil Stockfelt has provided help over the years as well.
According to Boone County Conservation, "Fire encourages health and growth by opening the area up for forbs and flowers to grow before the tall grasses dominate again”. In other words, burning helps sunlight reach new wildflower shoots.

Tyouts for the 2025-26 High School Color Guard are April 25th. Practices for tryouts are April 15th, 16th & 24th. Any student currently in grades 8-11 may tryout.
