High School Assistant Principal: The Board of Education of the Sergeant Bluff-Luton CSD is seeking a highly qualified, visionary, and fully certified educational leader to serve as High School Assistant Principal, beginning July 1, 2026. This is a newly restructured position in the district.
The Assistant Principal will serve as the instructional leader by setting clear expectations for effective teaching, conducting focused classroom observations, and providing actionable feedback that strengthens instructional practice. Alongside this work, they will manage student discipline and oversee academic programs to ensure every student has access to the supports and pathways needed for success.

The high school activities director will lead and coordinate all district‑sponsored student activities outside of fine arts, ensuring programs are well‑organized, inclusive, and aligned with the school’s mission. This role oversees clubs, student organizations, events, and extracurricular programming, fostering a vibrant campus culture where students can engage, lead, and thrive. They will work closely with the assistant activities director and the junior high athletic director.

PK-2 Primary School Principal: The Board of Education of the Sergeant Bluff-Luton CSD is seeking a highly qualified, visionary, and fully certified educational leader to serve as PK-2 Primary School Principal, beginning July 1, 2026.
The Primary School Principal serves as the instructional and cultural leader for the building, ensuring that every child experiences a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment. This role centers on guiding early childhood and primary-grade instruction, supporting teachers in implementing research-based practices, and fostering strong foundational skills in literacy, numeracy and social-emotional development.

Classified Positions
Associates helping one-on-one with students - The SBL Primary serves PK-2nd grade children. We are looking for individual(s) who will enjoy working/playing with children, who will model quality character traits (trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, and citizenship), and who will encourage and support a child's social, emotional, and academic growth. The instructional associate/paraprofessional/librarian schedule follows the SBL school calendar and the hours are Monday thru Friday, 7:45am-3:30pm. Applicants must be 18 years old and have a high school diploma. The starting wage for a qualified individual is $17.15/hour; years of experience may adjust this starting wage.
