Girls’ Wrestling Update :
Our coop with Hinton has concluded. With the new two‑class system in girls’ wrestling, Hinton elected to compete in Class A, allowing both programs to move forward independently.
SBL is actively recruiting a Head Coach to lead the Girls’ Warriors Wrestling Program.

This critical leadership support role ensures efficient district operations, accurate recordkeeping, and strong communication between the Superintendent, Board of Education, staff, and community.

Congrats to our HS Women's Show Choir Unleashed! At the Westwood Jubilation Show Choir Invite this past Saturday, they placed 1st in the Treble division, performed again in the Finals and received 5th Runner-Up overall.
Other awards:
Ella Ter Wee received an Outstanding Performer award and Quincy Timmons received Runner-Up in the Solo Competition!

The 7th and 8th Grade Concert Band and Choir attended the Wayne State Middle School Music Contest on Tuesday, March 10. The ensembles performed concert selections for two judges to receive ratings and feedback to improve their musicianship. Both the band and choir received an Excellent Rating from the judges. Several students performed solos for ratings: Sophia Cappetta- Soprano, Savannah Moseman- Soprano, LeOra Murdock- Soprano, Sophia Cappetta- Flute, Ava Ostrem- Flute, Bekah Mullenix- Clarinet, Bode Bockenstedt- Clarinet, Andrew Philip- Snare Drum, Sophia Cappetta and Ava Ostrem- Flute Duet. All of these individuals received either a Superior or Excellent Rating. Superior and Excellent Ratings are the highest categories at this contest. Congratulations to our SBL Warrior Musicians!
