The 2026-2027 school calendar was updated due to legislative changes. The end of the 1st semester is now Friday, Jan. 15 (instead of Jan. 14) and the teacher work day is Monday, Jan. 18. The updated calendar can be found by going to sblschools.com and clicking on "calendars and schedules" in the orange ribbon.

Please join us in celebrating three incredible SBL educators as they begin their retirement!
Thank you, Kelly Adams, Kati Bak, and Matt Sterk, for the countless lives you’ve touched and the lasting impact you’ve made on our community. We wish you all the best in this exciting new chapter!

Mrs. Adam's was presented with a bench by the primary staff at the tennis courts in her and Doug's name. The plaque reads, "A smile on your face and a song in your heart."

Today is a great example of why we are asking for a bond to build a new primary building. TODAY there was a leak in the boiler room. There are approximately 30 gallons of water and fluid from the HVAC system on the floor. Specialists were here to attempt to get water to run in the floor drains. They could only get the snake 18" in one drain and 3 feet in the other. The floor drains are completely collapsed and unusable. Maintenace staff will have to shop vac the fluid. This is an example of an issue in the primary building that is not fixable. As we shared in the video tour, if this happens on the weekend the fluid would be all over the building.
