Hey SBL fans! When you are at the football game tonight, in addition to cheering on the Warriors, please help our custodial staff by placing your trash in a garbage can. Last week it took 10 minutes to clean the visitors side and 90 minutes to clean the home side. Help keep our facility clean. Thanks for your cooperation! Go Warriors!

TONIGHT -- Homecoming Pregame Carnival today 5-7p

Homecoming March
The Homecoming March is Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 12:30pm. The march will begin at the primary school and end at the football field where the pep rally and coronation will take place. The march will consist of the marching bands, athletic teams, first responders and the 185th Color Guard. This is a march, not a parade (no candy). Community members are invited to watch/attend.
Community members or parents watching the march are asked to stand along the WEST side of Port Neal Rd between the elementary and high school buildings OR along the EAST side of the high school. Please plan to use parking at the baseball field or street parking around the schools. Parking will not be available in the school parking lots.
Coronation and the pep rally will be at the football field at the conclusion of the march. Go Warriors!

We at the Elementary School are PUMPED UP about Homecoming 2024! Help celebrate our homecoming week as you show your Warrior pride as you participate in our themed dress up days.

At the school board meeting on August 5, the board approved the petition to put a bond issue on the November ballot. The signatures now go to the county auditor for verification.
The language as it will appear on the ballot:
"Shall the Board of Directors of the Sergeant Bluff-Luton Community School District in the County of Woodbury, State of Iowa, be authorized to contract indebtedness and issue General Obligation Bonds in an amount not to exceed $54,600,000 to provide funds to build, furnish, and equip a new Primary School building as an addition to the Elementary building and improve the site; to build, furnish, and equip a new Career and Technical Education building and improve the site; and to remodel, repair, and improve portions of the High School building, including HVAC, lighting, and electrical systems, building controls, and ceilings?"

The Sergeant Bluff-Luton School District currently has an opening in the Kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year. Opportunities for movement with transfers may arise, potentially opening positions in other grade levels in grades K-3. A reading endorsement is encouraged but not required. Applicants are encouraged to share specific grade level interest in their cover letter, if desired. The position will remain open until filled.
