Approximately 1,700 students in Pre-kindergarten through 12th grade attend the Sergeant Bluff-Luton Community School District (SB-L CSD). The average regular education class size is 24 students. The district covers 64 square miles and serves the communities of Sergeant Bluff, Luton, and the surrounding rural areas. The school district employs over 230 people and operates on a budget of twenty-eight million dollars. Our school community is in close proximity to a variety of arts, entertainment, sporting and shopping venues. The Sergeant Bluff-Luton Community enjoys the advantages of small town neighborhoods with the amenities of a major metropolitan area.

Staff members of Sergeant Bluff-Luton CSD dedicate themselves to provide our students with a high quality education. We are committed to ensuring that our students benefit from challenging and rewarding academics, fine arts, athletics, and citizenship opportunities. We emphasize a relevant curriculum and challenge our students to take personal responsibility for their education. The combination of talented and dedicated staff, along with parent and community support, makes Sergeant Bluff-Luton CSD a great place to learn.
