Ensuring the safety of our students and staff is a top priority at SBL. Including the use of grant money, the board approved an important school investment that will help us achieve that goal.
We are making a significant investment in upgraded safety infrastructure and planning. This includes:
Improving our district-wide safety plans and emergency protocols, including defined expectations for training. Completed summer 2023.
Upgrading doors to implement state-of-the-art access control systems and improved visitor management systems.
Installing new video surveillance cameras with high resolution and expanded coverage throughout school campuses.
Maintaining safe and secure schools is critical for effective teaching and learning. By upgrading safety measures and preparations across the district, we aim to provide the best possible environment for our students to thrive.
