The Sergeant Bluff-Luton Board of Education is pleased to announce they have offered a contract for the position of Primary School Principal to Mrs. Angela Bemus. Mrs. Bemus earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Morningside College in Elementary Education, her Master’s Degree in Education from the University of South Dakota and her Education Specialist Degree from Northwest Missouri State.
Mrs. Bemus currently serves as the Associate Superintendent in the Sioux City Community School District. Her career at Sioux City spans a broad range of leadership positions, including elementary assistant principal and principal, middle school assistant principal and principal, and Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. Prior to her administrative career, Mrs. Bemus taught third and fourth grade at Irving Elementary in Sioux City.
Mrs. Bemus will begin her new role as the Primary School Principal with the Sergeant Bluff-Luton Community Schools on July 1, 2026. The district looks forward to welcoming her and partnering together to support continued excellence for students and staff.
