Celebrating Our Seniors: Honoring Students Entering the Workforce and Military After Graduation
The Siouxland Chamber of Commerce will be hosting an inaugural “Celebrate Your Next Step After Graduation” recognition event—an afternoon dedicated to honoring high school seniors who have chosen to enter the workforce right here in Siouxland or serve in the United States military after graduation. This first‑of‑its‑kind celebration recognizes the hard work these students have invested throughout their education and marks the official start of their next chapter.
On Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 2:00–3:00 PM, the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City will welcome students, families, educators, and community members for a ceremony that shines a spotlight on the young talent shaping the future of our region.
In partnership with local high schools, the event also highlights the many Chamber members who continue to invest in and retain emerging professionals across Siouxland. By celebrating students who are entering the workforce or military, the Chamber underscores its commitment to strengthening the local economy and supporting the next generation of leaders.
The program will feature:
A brief welcome and opening remarks
A keynote speaker offering insight and encouragement
A signing ceremony recognizing each student’s commitment to their employer or military branch
A reception with refreshments for students, families, and supporters
