The Morningside University School of Visual and Performing Arts held their annual All-State Choral Camp Aug. 3-5 in Eppley Auditorium. SBL had four high school vocalists participate in the camp: Izzy Carrell, Jax Sedgwick, Roxy Dean & LeOra Murdock.
At this camp, the students had the opportunity to learn the Iowa All-State Chorus repertoire of music and had fun doing it! The camp concert was conducted by Dr. Paul von Kampen, the new director of choral activities at Morningside University.
The students will be auditioning in October for a chance to be accepted into the Iowa All-State Chorus. Good luck to them!!

📢 One-Night Notice Regarding Football/Track Lights
Due to extreme summer heat, the specialized crew resealing our high school track will be working overnight to stay safe. As a result, the lights will remain on until 3:00 AM tonight (July 27). This should only be for one night.
Many businesses are working around the extreme heat we have been experiencing and we want to extend the same to this crew. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this temporary disruption may cause our immediate neighbors, and we truly appreciate your understanding.

Taking care of this early prevents any delays once the year gets going. Visit the school nurse page at https://sites.google.com/a/sblschools.com/nurse/home, click on your student's school building (found in the upper right-hand corner of the page), and follow the instructions there. Questions? Contact the building RN directly.
